Sunny summer Northcote wedding celebrations of John & Julia
Over the previous two years I’ve got to know the lovely couple Julia and John well. Having first met them for portrait sittings, followed by bump and newborn photos, it was a real privilege to document their wedding day. They’d booked the lovely Northcote Manor Hotel in North Devon for their wedding ceremony and reception. Set on top of a beautiful wooded hill, the hotel and grounds provide stunning views of the surrounding Devon countryside.
The bride arrived in a horse drawn carriage and despite a short shower! Following the emotional ceremony the sun came out and all the family and guests followed the newlyweds out into the grounds for drinks before the early evening wedding reception. The bestman’s speech was one of the funniest I’d ever heard throughout the years of photographing weddings – his day job as a stage comedian certainly showed!
