Beautiful Cornish country wedding of Jane & Matt
Some days just aren’t as kind weather wise as many others – but this doesn’t have to spoil a beautiful wedding. Matt & Jane’s wedding ceremony in Devon and reception in Cornwall a couple of weeks ago was one such wedding day!
The forecast wasn’t looking promising and whilst shooting the bride and bridesmaids getting ready the rain started to fall in earnest. But Jane wasn’t put out by the weather and was determined to walk tot he church as planned. This is what I love about documentary wedding photography, capturing the day as it is but with a creative eye, strong compositions and compelling narrative. My approach is to tell the story and emotions of the day no matter what happens on the day. Well prepared Jane and her father and bridesmaids headed off to the church under umbrellas. Umbrellas are great to photograph and can add a great structure to a photograph and point of interest.
Following the service at the beautiful Plympton Maurice Church and confetti run outside the newly married couple and guests headed to the lovely Lantallack House near Landrake in Cornwall. The view and grounds are stunning and perfect for the country and rustic styled wedding. The views across the valley past the Orchard are stunning.
Once the Caipirinha cocktails and Prosecco started to flow the celebrations really began! And continued long into the night.
Congratulations to the wonderful couple.
