I was so excited to process the photos from this beautiful Devon wedding at Higher Eggbeer Farm. The lovely couple Juliette & Aaron were so relaxed and planned a laid-back country wedding.
Located just outside Exeter, Higher Eggbeer offers a unique wedding venue with a chilled feeling to it. The views over the surrounding Devon countryside are also stunning! The venue, including the house is hired out for weekends and even weeks. An added bonus is the fab heated swimming pool.
The beautiful Devon wedding itself
The wedding was a real family affair – from the the mother of the bride arranging the flowers (all cut from the Grandmother’s garden!), to the afternoon tea and family friend to officiate the outdoor ceremony. The best man had produced some tasty ginger beer and Pale Ale too! With so many personal touches the day was filled with fun, laughter and warmth.
The reception was held in the old barn and this offers a wonderful feel with it’s rustic charm, woodfire and atmospheric lighting. It was the perfect setting for the evening ceilidh dancing. This is such a great idea for weddings which guests of all ages enjoy taking part in. Whilst the band took a break the skateboards came out for a spot of human hungry hippos! A stunning sunset provided a fitting end to the day. Congratulations to the lovely couple.
